Celebrity Dream Blog: 4/30/04: "Finding Frodo"
Special Guest Star: Frodo (or Elijah as Frodo, whatever) with a special appearance by Forrest Gump.

READ THIS FIRST: The first segment of this dream deals with something I am dead set against. Animal Abuse. It is, however part of the dream, due to the fact that the first part takes place in a horrible state of affairs. Please be warned and realize that I was very disturbed by it, and consider it a nightmare. If you read the dream you will see that it was something I had to endure to save a loved one.

This is one of those dreams that I have trouble figuring out where it started. I will just go with the first thing I remember which is that I was in a huge building, sort of like a wherehouse. There were several people living there, it was kind of like a structure that we were sent to live in. There was a war going on outside. I am not sure whether we were being held in the wherehouse as prisoners or if we were there for shelter reasons. It might have been a combination of both.
My parents were staying with me at the shelter along with all the other random people. I was standing by a window overlooking some stairs and there was a table in the same room. Everything was brown and kind of dreary. There was a stray cat wandering around the place and it kept mewing and hissing when I tried to get close. It wasn't very friendly. It was a long haired brownish colored tabby. Also wandering around, was my own cat whom I love dearly. I guess I'd taken him to the wherehouse place with us. Suddenly, a soldier appeared at the top of the stairs and came into our living space. I am not sure whose side he was on, but he asked if there was a cat around. He spotted my cat (who is white) and he asked me if that was my cat, so I said yes. He then said something to the effect of "Get rid of that cat. I want it killed and skinned. If you don't do it, I will. I will be back later to pick up the remains."
Of course I was terrified. After the soldier left, I realized the only thing to do was to kill the other cat, (the stray one) and make it look like I'd killed my cat like he wanted. The soldier hadn't seen the stray cat, so it would make a good proxy body and I could hide my cat to keep him safe. I didn't want to kill the stray either, but I knew it was the only way to save my boy.
I got a very sharp pocket knife and confronted the brown tabby. It was meowing at me when I approached. I sunk the knife into its body and I felt sick as I did this. I cut it a little more and it kept meowing and trying to get away. I wanted it to die quickly so that it would not suffer. Finally I slit the throat deep enough so the cat died. Then I skinned it and got rid of the fur. I put the skinned body in a sack and got a big chunk of white fur off of my own cat's tail. I stuck the fur half-way into the sack to better fake-out the soldier. Then I went outside by the steps and left the bag for when the soldier came back.

In the next scene (at least the next clearest scene that I can remember) The war that was going on was fast approaching our wherehouse. There were a lot of huge glass windows so we could see out. Outside it was barren and dusty and there were a lot of tanks and soldiers and barracades. Everyone was running around the wherehouse nervously.
Next, I was sitting on the concrete floor with my parents and a bunch of other people who were staying in the building. We were told the area was going to be bombed and we didn't know how much of it would be affected. We could survive if it didn't reach us, but there was a high chance that we'd be completely blown up. As I sat there I shouted out "I love all of you!" I guess because I thought we were going to die.
There was a large window to our right and we could see the roof of another similar building. Finally, a huge blast came and the building next to us was blown up completely. The vibration caused the top floor of our building to start to collapse and sink down. Everyone was panicking. I said something about it being like the Titanic, the way we were sinking down.

The next part I remember, the war was drawing to a close. All of us in our wherehouse had survived and we were getting ready to pick up whatever belongings we had so we could leave. I was down on a lower level, I guess of the same building and walking around. There were lots of people in different stations and everyone was kind of dirty in raggy clothing. I think I remember over hearing someone saying that The War of the Ring was over.
I came to a dirty bed, I gathered this is where I'd been staying during the time we were seeking shelter in the building. The matress was dingy and there were a few wooden shelves with my stuff in them. I sat on the bed, saying something about how filthy it was. I was glad to not have to stay there anymore.
Out of nowhere, Frodo appeared, and we were laying on the bed, facing eachother on our stomachs. We were talking about the war, I guess and that we were glad to see eachother. All I really remember saying to him is, "I love you. I just wanted to say that in case something like this happens again." (The something like this was the war.) I guess I wanted to tell him how I felt just in case I never got another chance due to the circumstances.

The scene changed again and I was running around another similar kind of setting, but I think this was a different building. I got the feeling that I was getting closer to leaving the place (country or where ever) the war had taken place. I was carrying some things and my hair was pulled back and I wore a brown dingy dress.
Up ahead of me I saw Frodo again and I ran over to him. This time we lay down on a ledge that was made out of plaster. It was situated up against a wall with a window not too far away. We lay there and I embraced him, holding him close. It really felt real- I swore I could feel him against me. I put my hand on the top of his head in his curls. I brushed the hair out of his eyes and looked at him. His face was dirty and a little sweaty. I ran my hand down the side of his head, still gently brushing his hair aside. As I looked at him, I noticed his pointy ear. I hugged him again. I was saying something rather pathetic like, "Oh let me hold you a little longer... please." Then I said, "You are so beautiful..." I could actually feel myself trying to make the moment last, but it faded away, into the next scene.

The next scene Frodo was gone. I was making my way to a bus station where I'd start my long journey back home. I remember talking to someone, a man whom I couldn't see, about Frodo. The man was saying that I would no longer see Frodo after the war. And I protested, that I did see him, just recently. Then the man asked something like "Have you seen him since you left Mordor?" and I thought about it, and realized, he was right. Frodo couldn't leave his world to be in mine. But I somehow knew, that I would continue to search for him.

The next significant scene I remember, was that I was in another place that had been set up as refuge from the war. This time I was outside, walking along a bunch of jumbled ruins, some of the stuff was goods in boxes or on the ground. I sat down on a step and I was looking at a ring with a gem stone in it (it had nothing to do with LOTR, it was just a normal ring) Suddenly, Forrest Gump came up to me and asked what I had found. He looked just like he did in the film, with short hair, a white with checkered shirt and light colored pants. He kneeled down and as I was showing him the ring, he handed me three others all with different gem stones. I smiled and he laughed.

Finally, and I believe this is the last part of the dream, I was inside somewhere not too far off from where I'd seen Forrest Gump. There was a woman grilling some burgers and I guess I sort of knew her and recognized some of the people around them. She gave me a burger and I was starving so I started to eat it really fast. It was almost gone when I realized that the inside was really red. I told her and she was a little worried, saying she thought it was well done. I took my tray to a line that looked like a cafeteria and went to clean it up. There was some guy there talking to me and he was annoying me. I can't really remember where it went from there.
