investigation:
This investigation happened in April, 2008. SPIRIT was allowed access to an alleged haunted Dance Studio in the area. We didn't expect a whole lot from it, but in the end it turned out to be one of SPIRIT's favorite locations to investigate.
That night there was me, Jackie, Satori Soul, Paul, Angelena and Cinnamon. We conducted an EVP Q and A session in the hall. Then we went into the big main room.
I noticed that the room, being a huge studio, had a horrible echo. To top it off, there was traffic on the street making noise and headlights glaring into the studio. I knew this was going to be difficult to try to get any evidence from.
We broke up into groups of three. Me, Ang and Cinnamon and then Jackie, S. Soul and Paul. Jackie put me on Walkie Talkie Duty and I couldn't stop thinking of that episode of Family Guy where Stewie and Brian are on the Walkie Talkie and Stewie says that Brian has to say "over" after everything he's done saying. So I kept saying "over", like a retard, but it was kind of funny.
But what I'm about to report next, is very, very strange. Like I said, we were in groups of 3. Ang, Cinn and I decided to go into the downstairs small studio, while Jackie, S. Soul and Paul went up to the small upstairs studio. When we 3 girls got into the downstairs studio, Ang and Cinn sat on the floor. I stood stationary clutching the Walkie Talkie. Only about 40 seconds went by when we heard (WHAT WE THOUGHT) was Jackie, S. Soul and/or Paul on the stairs above the studio. But the moment we heard the loud footsteps on the stairs, the walkie talkie beeped and Jackie asked "Are you guys on the stairs?" and I responded clearly "No, we're not on the stairs." but I was thinking "YOU MEAN YOU'RE NOT EITHER, THEN WTF IS THAT POUNDING???" but I kept my cool. Jackie beeped the walkie talkie again. "Are you moving at ALL?" she asked. And I replied. "No. No one's moving." As we spoke, we heard Bang, bang... bang, bang, bang... EXACTLY asthough someone were loudly pounding up (or down) the stairs. At that point all six of us knew that something very strange was going on in that dance studio.
"We're coming back down," Jackie said.
A minute later the pounding started again but this time it was Jackie and the guys coming back down stairs to meet with us. Their footsteps on the stairs sounded identical to when none of us were on the stairs.
We met in the hall and all six of us had the same puzzled, excited, yet somewhat disturbed look on our faces. We checked again with the other group. They were like "We thought it was you coming up!" and WE were like "We thought it was YOU coming DOWN!!!" Then we all laughed and realized this was going to be a very cool investigation.
Later when Ang, Cinn and I were in the locker room, the door across the way moved by itself, about 6 inches. I didn't see it, but I heard it creek on it's hinges. Ang saw it. Supposedly doors moving aren't a great deal of proof since they can easily do that if there's a draft coming from anywhere. I still thought it was weird, though.
And then for the first "debunking" experience, Ang, Cinn and I were in the foyer where we smelled a perfume like scent. I had smelled it earlier wafting into the main room. It was very floral like. It was particularly strong in the foyer and we followed the scent. The smell got stronger until we got to a corner in which we found a Glade Airfreshner. We all laughed.
When we left the studio, we were all excited about the thing on the stairs. S. Soul said he wished he placed a camera there, but we at least had the recording of the incident on our digital evidence.

evidence:
Personal experiences are not considered evidence (says Grant about ten times per Ghosthunters episode, lol) But seriously, that is true. However, we DO have the sound of the pounding footsteps on the stairs plus the conversation of me and Jackie on the walkie talkies in our audio. At the time of this clip, Jackie, S. Soul and Paul were in the UPSTAIRS studio, while Angelena, Cinnamon and myself were in the DOWNSTAIRS studio. Remember, the pounding you hear in this clip is not any of us on the team, and there was no one else in the building who could have been on the stairs!

The Stairs Incident: Listen Here!

What you are hearing:
I did not collect any EVPs, which was disappointing, but Paul got an EVP that was just plain chilling. It was a man's voice whispering VERY clearly "Help me." (Go to the SPIRIT site to hear this one, it's a MUST!)

personal conclusion: (Please note this is MY personal conclusion, and may not be the same opinion of the other members of the SPIRIT team) The pounding on the stairs... Paul's EVP and other possible EVP evidence that we collected that night helped me to conclude that this location is more than likely haunted.
